Dr Matatov is a pulmonary critical care specialist with focus on the diseases of the lung and respiratory systems. He is also highly trained to care for critically ill patients in hospital intensive care units (ICUs).

Dr Matatov graduated with honors from Karaganda State Medical University in the former Soviet Union, which is one of the leading medical universities of the region. He completed his residency training in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr Matatov is a physician highly regarded by his peers. At the same time he earned the Compassionate Doctor certificate of honor for his overall approach to patient care and his excellent bedside manner.
